B2 Biking

Located in the beautiful Catalina Mountains foothills, the Biosphere 2 campus provides a non-traditional yet accessible venue that facilitates interaction. The setting is ideal for workshops, conferences, retreats, extended programs, and outreach activities.

The facilities of the B2 Conference Center comprise a Campus Village of 28 rustic Santa Fe-style houses holding 106 double-capacity sleeping rooms and a number of double-occupancy offices. Complete with in-suite kitchens, living areas, and high-speed internet access, the 3-5 bedroom casitas are all in easy walking distance and provide the perfect place to unwind and socialize in-between or after meetings. Sensible facility pricing of on-site overnight accommodations ensures the Biosphere 2 Conference Center is an affordable venue for your events and meetings.

"...all I needed to do was open my eyes again to what was right in front of me, nature; everything I had read in college that had inspired me; everything in nature that moved me. Then I realized the setting, a space enclosing a savannah, a rain forest, a dessert, and a marsh, was an idyllic context for this adventure. Our little sphere, Biosphere 2, had broken the box in 1991, and opened the door to Biosphere 1, the Earth."

Additionally, there are eight meeting rooms available in various sizes to accommodate both large and small groups; the smaller meeting rooms can serve as breakout rooms. For catering, whether your needs include delicious full meals prepared on-site or simple well-timed snacks, B2 Institute staff will help meet your event’s requirements.

All meeting rooms are equipped with white boards, LCD projectors and Wi-Fi. Traditional viewgraph projectors are also available upon request. In the near future we plan to offer the use of a fitness center to overnight guests. Only group reservations are taken at this time.

Outdoor facilities for relaxation and informal discussion are available around campus, featuring magnificent views of the Santa Catalina Mountains. There are numerous hiking opportunities in the immediate vicinity of the campus, with abundant wildlife, including deer, blue herons, coyotes, bobcats, and more.
