Peter G. Backus

President, P B Trading Company, Inc.

Peter Backus is a real estate investor and residential lot developer in Tucson Arizona. He received the "Best of Tucson" award for Coyote Creek and also developed Antler Crest and Rincon Trails. He was Chairman of the Pima County Real Estate Research Council for two years. Mr. Backus is currently serving on The Arizona Nature Conservancy Board of Trustees and is past President of the Rincon Institute Board of Directors. Among other boards, he has served on the local and national board of Big Brothers and Big Sisters and is now Chairman of their local Advisory Board. An avid horseback rider, he is on the Board of Los Charros del Desierto horseman's club and has been actively involved with Pima Trails Association and The Arizona Trail. He also co-chaired the committee to pass the Pima County Open Space Proposition in 2004. Mr. Backus is a graduate of Shattuck Military Academy and the University of Arizona. He is a partner in CDO Development, the current owner of Biosphere 2.
